The New York Comic Con is the largest and most exciting pop culture convention on the East Coast. It is a place where artists can exhibit their latest works in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies and television. The New York Comic Con was held at the Javits Center, located in midtown Manhattan, New York from Friday October 8th – Sunday, October 11th, 2010. The convention was swamped with fans, some dressed up as their favorite superheroes, others for the fashion show that took stage Saturday and Sunday, and others just simply dressed as they normally would. Through my documentation, I wanted to contextualize and narrate this event through the content that consumed it – the artwork and the fans.
